Darling Harbour Explorer - Sea Kayaking Tour - Special SYDNEY FESTIVAL TOUR
January 5 to 28, 2023
Duration: 90 minutes
We are running this very special edition of this tour during the Festival of Sydney between the 5th to 28th of January
Hit the harbour for an up-close encounter with Te Wheke-a-Muturangi: The Adversary.
Created by the multi-disciplinary Māori artist Lisa Reihana and made from more than 1000 pieces, the floating, majestic Te Wheke-a-Muturangi sculpture will take up residence in Watermans Cove, gently animated by harbour breezes and shifting currents, bathed in sunlight and moonglow.
Explore Darling Harbour and learn about the beautiful vessels of the Australian National Maritime Museum. Be guided out onto the 'working' harbour and experience Sydney from a completely new perspective, including an up-close visit to the magnificent Māori octopus, Te Wheke.
The tours start at the Actions Station Pavilion on the marina, Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour and depart throughout the day.
There are plenty of great locations for photos and we paddle in very stable deluxe double sea kayaks.
There will be some wonderful places to pull up and get some lovely photos.
Minimum age for children is 10 years old.
A child's price is 10 to 16 years old
Private tours are also available with a minimum of 6 paddlers.
Starting Location:
Australian National Maritime Museum
Darling Harbour (Starting from the 'Action Station' War-Ship Pavilion)
Please note:
Sydney's Main Harbour is a very busy, working harbour and there are many large vessels.
This very special tour is conducted in stable ocean going sea kayaks, guided
by experienced guides. The harbour can become very rough with lots of ferry wash / wake.
Sydney Harbour Kayaks are an award winning tourism business; we
have won a GOLD medal in the NSW Tourism awards for 2021 and 2022
